Pirates of the Caribbean was once a computer game before a hit movie, through synergy it has boosted its circulation by dealing with mcdonalds to tend to its target audience of children by inserting a free toy of the hit movie in every happy meal, they also have merchandise such as clothing, cutlery and even amusements at ‘Disney World’ this kind of synergy assists the movie to globalise its merchandise and appeal to new target audiences, also bankable stars such as Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and even a British Star Keira Knightly appeal to a variety of audiences through there other hit movies and would lure them into watching this movie.
Slumdogg Millionaire – British movie
Slumdogg Millionaire use synergy to their advantage as they had a hit soundtrack by a Hollywood music group ‘The PussyCat Dolls’ which was a big hit for the soundtrack and the movie, also channel 4 owns rights to the film4 and music channels on sky such as 4music, which would constantly play the song ‘Jai Ho’ from the British movie, this would lure the audience to the movie and want to go see it.
